Nourish Me Salad Dressing

This was my grandmothers recipe and it is soooo delicious – keep this recipe on file for any big yummy salads that are coming up over the warmer months. This dressing transforms any plain salad into a masterpiece. 

 

Now if you have kids who don’t eat salad – please don’t give up! There are some super simple and very easy ways to encourage our kids to eat more salad.  

1 – Start simply with simple things. If they love carrot start with some grated carrot and drizzle come freshly squeezed orange juice in. That is a perfect beginners salad! 

2 – Try to use natural tasting things like ice-burg lettuce as the base. Again this can be chopped with scissors and put into a bowl (I called this crunchy water for a long time) 

3 – Slowly start introducing more variety over time. Get your kids involved  with trying new flavour combos – don’t restrict combinations either! Find things they love and combine them. We sometimes do corn and cucumber salad! Get your kids to come up with some whacky salad combos. 

 

Okay here is the recipe for the most delicious, nourishing salad dressing of all time. Goes brilliantly with anything with avocado in too! 🙂 

Ingredients

3 tablespoons or full fat organic/biodynamic yoghurt ( I use Paris Creek as it has no fillers and good probiotic content.)
I tablespoon of organic wholegrain mustard
1 large clove of Organic Garlic
2 tablespoons of Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil or Macadamia Oil
1 small handful of Fresh Mint

Directions

Blitz on high speed for 5 seconds in high powered blender and pour on salad. Store in fridge in an airtight container and remix prior to use.  Enjoy! Salad rocks!
