Time to put your peanut butter in the bin! This nut butter is heavenly.

I don't want to get started on the shocking ingredients in peanut butter. Peanuts are one of the most sprayed and toxic nuts you can consume and it's safe to say is a product I avoid 100% with my kids.  Making your own nut butters is incredibly easy, delicious and nutrient rich.

We use it on crackers, in smoothies even as a dip for veggies. Once you have made your own home made nut butter you will never look back!

Ingredients

 2 handfuls of organic almonds
1 tsp organic vanilla extract (not vanilla essence - that stuff is nasty!)
 pinch of himalayan sea salt
dash of organic coconut oil for tray

Directions

1

Heat oven to 180 degrees and once hot place almonds on tray that has been covered with a little coconut oil

2

roast for 8 - 10 minutes until golden then sprinkle with himalayan sea salt

3

Combine all ingredients and Blend Baby Blend. You will need a very high powered blender or thermomix. I blend for around 5 minutes until it turns into a warm gooey butter. This can then be kept in a glass container in the fridge and it keeps for many weeks as the salt acts as a preservative

4

Try not to eat all in one sitting. This is seriously more-ish.
